George Skey was a manufacturer of ceramic products notably
Stone ware &Terracotta. His firm was established in 1864
and in the 1930's was taken over by the Doulton factory.

Dwight Lyman Moody (1837-99) American evangelist. Born in Northfield, Mass.
A shopkeeper in Boston, he moved in 1856 to Chicago, where he became engaged
in missionary work. He joined Ira David Sankey (1840-1908) in 1870 and they
visited England for the first time in 1873. Moody preaching and Sankey singing,
eventually returning to America to continue their work.
