Antique Staffordshire Pottery Newfoundland Dog

Said to be native from Newfoundland Canada. A wonderful looking breed with good heavy lines. Good swimmer and rescue dog that has a good temperament. This breed would help the fishermen bring in their heavy nets and pull equipment in the snow. Very popular breed with the Victorian artists and the Staffordshire potters who portrayed them with the Royal children in Highland dress.
