Antique Staffordshire Pottery Irish Setter.

A good looking dog with a silky red coat, this breed worked as a gundog popular in Ireland. Originally red & white coated, in the early 19th century the Irish breeders loved the solid red coated dog and it soon became as popular in England and in the USA.

Staffordshire potters prefered the red and white pallett to show this wonderful breed.
